FAQs

How can I volunteer with The Spring?

One way we need help is for individuals and groups (up to 15 people) to assist us at our Thrift Store, Donation Center, and Boutique. Prepping donated items for our thrift store is important as this helps generate revenue to fund our many services, as well as provide necessary items to survivors of domestic violence as they are rebuilding their lives.

How can my group volunteer with The Spring?

Groups please reserve your time slots by emailing volunteer@thespring.org

What do I need to bring with me?

Please bring your photo id and wear closed-toe shoes. Parts of the Donation Center are not air-conditioned, so please wear comfortable clothes as it can get hot, particularly during the summer months.

Are there age restrictions?

Children ages 13 -14 can volunteer under the supervision of an adult. Children ages 15-17 can volunteer without supervision but need parental permission.

Are there volunteering opportunities to work with the families being served?

We do have limited volunteer opportunities to work in our shelter or outreach facilities, however, due to the extensive training that is required, we ask that these volunteers commit to volunteering with us for at least 1 year.

To learn more about the requirements and application process, email volunteer@thespring.org.
