We can all take steps to end domestic violence. Spring Prevention Team members educate our community on the tactics of power & control used by abusers, and help young people and adults understand the key ingredients of healthy, respectful relationships.
Staff members conduct trainings on domestic violence and teen dating violence for youth, businesses, community organizations and social services professionals who work with families. These trainings include one-time and multi-day programs with local schools and partner agencies.
Our Youth Prevention Program includes an annual Teen Summit organized by our Youth Action Committee each February in honor of Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. Several members of the Youth Action Committee also take the additional step of becoming Peer Educators in their schools.
